As one snark-befouled critic observed, this building strategy can be described as a large mushroom head growing on a massive bone, all for the purpose of satisfying ‘The Black Hole’. But that’s a purely semantic coincidence, not an indication that some underlying Freudian impulse is driving the entire ideation.

Many misattribute the tribal name of Lacu-Negris to the contemporary preoccupation with black holes. It actually has ancient roots, literally meaning “dark lacuna” as in the marrow channels exposed in cross section from which the dwellingshrooms draw food
